We've been working hard to get the practice ready whilst still seeing patients for their check ups and triaging emergency patients.

From Monday 19th October we will safely be able to do those treatments that involve an aerosol generating procedure (AGP). Finally offering our full range of treatments again to our lovely patients. If you are waiting for treatment we will be in touch soon to make your appointments. There are a few of you so this may take some time.

We're going to look a little different too!

Let the drilling commence...

If you are waiting for a routine examination and we have not yet contacted you please call the surgery and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.

As part of government guidelines to protect your health we have to:
- Limit the number of patients in the practice at one time. To help manage this and prevent delays to your appointment please be sure to arrive as close to your appointment time as possible and follow all instructions provided by our staff. Please do not attend the practice if you do not have an appointment.

- Limit the number of appointments. We’re keen to continue to see as many patients as possible. However please be aware that due to the restrictions required to protect your health such as fallow periods and extra disinfection after an appointment we cannot provide as many appointments in one day as we are used to. As a result we have no choice but to see fewer patients in a day so you might have to wait a little longer for your appointment.

- Emergency appointments may be a little different. Please be aware that because of the limits on our treatment range when wearing our normal PPE we cannot provide the same level of emergency care as we would normally. In some circumstances we may only be able to see you for an assessment first and then carry out treatment at a later date if it involves an AGP which requires an increased level of PPE.

Please be sure that you continue to observe the same precautions as you have in the last few months. If you are experiencing possible symptoms of Coronavirus, such as a new or continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss or change to your sense of taste or smell, do not attend your appointment and contact the practice to let our team know.

Sylvia and the team at LONG BUCKBY DENTAL.

Both Sylvia and Andy are now using the Wand, it gives you anesthetic without the big needle and virtually eliminates the numb mouth that you get with conventional anesthetic injections and its pain free.

Ask about using the Wand next time you need treatment.

Andrew McSweeney has now been with us for 6 months, doesn't time fly when your enjoying yourself. He now has an established NHS patient list and is looking to take on more patients on one of our DenPlan programmes.

Ask Andrew about converting to DenPlan next time you have an appointment or just call us on 01327 842815 and to talk to Jo. DenPlan is probably a lot less expensive than you think and it has many advantages over NHS>

Following from Anu leaving the practice we are pleased to announce that Andrew McSweeney will be joining us at the beginning of August.

Andy who originates from Rugby and qualified at Birmingham Dental School has been working in the South West and is very much looking forward to moving back to the Midlands and joining us at Long Buckby.

Many of you will have already met Maria Suva who has stepped in to cover our NHS patients until Andrew starts with us
